WHAT IS OPEN UP?
Let’s open up over whisky is an initiative that started back in the summer of 2021, where different suppliers from the whisky industry came together to bring down the barriers and stereotypes of the whisky consumer, and also make women feel more included in this wonderful world.
It all began with a phonecall and a meeting between a representative from Beam Suntory and High Coast Whisky. It could have ended with just a cup of coffee in the sun, but the idea grew and so the journey began. The people behind this great initiative are Emelie Andersson from Bacardi, Sara Larsson from High Coast, Susan Stenström from SWF and Whisky business, Jan Groth from World Whisky Forum, Emma Andersson from Allt om Whisky, Mariana Amengual, Bobby Fletcher and Alejandra Valdes from Beam Suntory. Also, along the journey, James McCallum Heyman from Diageo, Michaela Weckman from Edrington, Jeanette Tranberg from Hans Just and Daniel Andersson from Nigab have joined us in this journey towards change.view more
